Terry cloth for shirts, too?

Dear users, dear authors,
I’ve always thought terry cloth was more for bathrobes and the like, but fashion magazines say it’s also being used for summer shirts this season. Would you wear that?

For me, terry cloth shirts would only be wearable on a beach vacation—something to throw on when you come out of the water.

Exactly—there used to be those little terry cloth beach tops, but I can’t really picture it as a regular shirt; it still kind of feels like a towel to me.

Well, I personally wouldn’t wear it. I think it’s just a trend, similar to muslin. That’s totally in right now, too, but I don’t like it at all.

There are definitely some nice, stretchy terry cloth fabrics out there, though. Maybe as a cover-up for the beach, for the kids...?
I mean, we used to have one of those terry cloth beach onesies for a toddler.

So for kids: Yes. For me: Probably not.
