Here, even as a beginner, you can quickly crochet 3 different Christmas decorations. It’s eco-friendly and something truly special, whether for the tree / shrub, the table, or as gift wrapping. Plus, it’s a great way to use up lots of leftover yarn.

Mona (Froschoma Mona) wishes you lots of joy with your crafting.

Christmas tree ornaments  don’t have to be expensive—you can crochet them yourself using leftover yarn! Following this pattern, you can make 4 different ornaments to decorate your Christmas tree or gift packages: a bell, a star, an angel, and a snowflake. The ornaments look especially festive when you use glittery yarn, but they’re also very elegant when made simply with solid-colored cotton.



To make a cute little star gnome like this, you’ll need 20 g of cotton in the main color, plus a small scrap of skin-tone yarn for the head and a bit of brown for the hair. If you crochet several gnomes, you can turn them into a colorful Christmas garland. The gnomes also look lovely on gift packages and can later be used as pincushions.




You can always crochet these Christmas appliqués in your spare time using small scraps of yarn. Use them to decorate greeting cards or as scatter decorations, gift tags, or Christmas tree ornaments!

Luckily, there’s still some time until Christmas.

For one euro, you can get the pattern for this fun dishcloth "Happy Dog", knitted in double face. Knit it twice and they make great potholders for a dog lover. With the multicolored pattern at the top and bottom, you can easily use up a few leftovers. Just make sure that all the colors used are of the same yarn quality.

DIY - Christmas Wreath Made from Pom-Poms
You can decorate with it in or around the house. The wreath is made from lots and lots of wool pom-poms, which are attached to a Styrofoam half-wreath. The balls are glued on with a hot glue gun. And it definitely won’t shed needles :-)





Special Christmas Ornament for Knitting Fans
This is also a lovely craft project for the Advent season. You’ll see the special decoration if you take a very close look at the Christmas ornament. You can make it yourself just like that.





Sweet Candy Cane
This one is quick to crochet, even for a crochet beginner. 2 crocheted cords are twisted together. Inside there is a pipe cleaner wire to give it its shape. A small, lovely Christmas decoration to lay out or use as a gift tag.
