I also have felted slippers. You can wear them all year round: for year-round wear, I recommend the moccasins; for winter and for those of you who are especially sensitive to the cold, the taller styles. What they all have in common is that we knit them, and the washing machine takes care of the felting. Let me show you my
3 favorite styles.
I hope you enjoy looking at them and making your own… and may your feet always stay warm :-)
Warm regards from Ina
P.S. Right now, felting yarn is available everywhere in the SAL ;-)
One-Step Felt Booties
These are knitted in one piece. What I love about them is that you can combine two colors and that the cuff even gets a decorative button. Slippers can be a little chic, too. You can make them in any size.
Felt Moccasins
These are the all-season model for warm feet. But “warm” doesn’t mean you’ll sweat in them. That’s because felting yarn is breathable and releases excess heat through the felt fibers. Thanks to their moccasin shape, they simply look nicer than regular felt shoes, which can sometimes be a bit shapeless. You can also make them as guest slippers or to pack in your suitcase.
Felt Boots with a Roll-Top Cuff
They consist of 2 parts: the felt shoe—knitted by us and felted in the washing machine—and the separately knitted roll-top cuff, which we sew onto the finished felt shoe. This is the warmest model of all my shoes. The warm roll-top cuff keeps the ankle especially warm, so your feet are guaranteed to stay warm. Since all the veins and arteries run along the ankle, if it’s warm there, the entire foot is automatically warm.
