As a beginner, you should start with small projects that don’t take much time. You can also make great use of leftover yarn, which you might be able to get from a friend or acquaintance, and you don’t have to go buy yarn right away.

You’ve probably made a few snowflakes out of folded paper at some point in your life. Here’s a colorful, flowery alternative for the warmer seasons.


 
These flowers are cut out of folded tissue paper. You’ll get templates for four different flower shapes in three sizes: 10, 15, and 20 cm.

The flowers are very easy to make and are also great for crafting with kids.

The Mascha triangular shawl is crocheted from the bottom up. Whether in a single color or with a color gradient, this shawl will be an eye-catcher. This project is ideal for beginners because the scatter flowers are so easy to make that they’re even great for crafting with kids.



The flowers are made from leftover cardstock. The pattern includes template drawings for 3 flower shapes, each in 5 to 7 sizes ranging from about 3 to 7.5 cm, as well as circle templates for the flower centers.
