We’re on vacation right now. I’m already sitting out on the patio with a cup of coffee and my crochet project.



Today is our last day of our family vacation; tomorrow we’re heading back home. 

Thanks, Josefa—I wish the same for everyone here. As for me, I’m having very mixed feelings today, because first of all, it’s my youngest daughter’s birthday, and second, about an hour ago I got a call telling me that my best and oldest friend passed away last night. Today, I’ll need all my acting skills to make sure I don’t ruin my daughter’s birthday—it’ll be enough if I just tell her about it tomorrow, since that friend was my daughters’ favorite “uncle.”

My deepest condolences, Inge—that certainly won’t be easy.

And thank you—I wish you a wonderful holiday, too. We’re taking it easy; it’s already very warm here, and it’s supposed to be a pretty hot, midsummer weekend, so we’re doing all our exercise in the morning.
