Happy Father’s Day + happy holiday: What are your plans?

Happy Father’s Day, and we hope you all have a wonderful holiday. 

We’re invited to our youngest daughter’s place tomorrow and will have a lovely day there

We’re going to have breakfast together tomorrow, and Leo wanted to give his gift then (part of which I’ve unfortunately “destroyed”—see my post... :-( ), and then we’ll go to my dad’s for coffee and cake.

That’s the plan, anyway. And then I’m looking forward to a long weekend. 

For us, it’s just a normal day—we don’t have any kids.
Several years ago, my husband once complained that he couldn’t celebrate Father’s Day at all, so the night before, I placed a selection of my teddy bears at the table with him and told him that this also applied to adoptive fathers.... But he still never went along on a Father’s Day outing.

We don’t have any plans for today yet. Right now, I’m still knitting my baby booties—a colleague of mine is going to become a dad in the next few days. Then maybe I’ll go for a little bike ride through the woods around noon today.
