Little Finn

You guys actually managed to make me give in.

As of yesterday, my little Max has a new little brother—he’s almost the same size, just a bit more delicate.
I fell in love with him the moment I saw him.

His name is Finn, and he’s already feeling right at home with his little brother.

He's such a sweet little guy.

Finn (also a beautiful and fitting name) is more delicate and dreamy than his brother. It’s great that his big brother already knows his way around and can show him everything. It’s amazing how lifelike baby dolls look these days—you can’t help but fall in love with them. I hope you have lots of fun with the new addition to your family.

Why is it, actually, that some of you doll moms prefer to choose boys, while others only choose girls?

Yeah, Finn looks pretty realistic. Back in the day, there really were hardly any baby dolls this cute.

As for your question:
Here’s the thing:
I’ve always been a fan of blue; pink and fuchsia are awful to me—they don’t suit me at all.
Plus, I almost exclusively wear pants.
I do like girl dolls, but I just prefer boys.😉🤣

I already enjoyed crocheting girls’ clothes when my little sisters were born. Later, my daughter and my sisters wore the same outfits. My youngest sister is four months younger than my daughter.
Now I have two baby girls—it just worked out that way. But I’d also love to have a Niklas. Just not right away.

When it comes to knitting, I have more options for girls, but I also have boys—for example, Tommi—and among the little quadruplets, there are boys too.

Otherwise, I like both equally. And there’s plenty of variety when it comes to colors, too.

My babies are all girls—probably to balance out the four grandsons… The only boy in the group is a Käthe-Kruse replica, but he’s currently wearing a little dress too, which actually suits his delicate features quite well. I’ve always seen myself more as a girl mom—I grew up with a younger sister and later spent my vacations with two little girls. I also find that girls are easier to knit for, since the variety of designs is much greater. And it doesn’t always have to be pink or hot pink…

Well, Monika, my own kids are already too big for homemade stuff, grandchildren are still a long way off—my kids aren’t “big” enough for that yet😂—and doll accessories are a great way to let your creativity run wild.

So… little Finn inspired me so much that I—unfortunately, yet again—gave in.
Tomorrow, little Manuel is coming to stay with me—he’s the twin brother of Marion’s Finn.

Well, I really sat there thinking about it for a long time, and I was torn. There were mostly reasons to say yes—and so now (hopefully) my daycare is complete.

I’d already posted a photo with Rosalie and Tommi. The two of them are a cute couple and go great together, even in terms of their approximate size.

Sternchen was sitting there all alone… and now she’s getting a little brother. They’ll be just as cute a couple as Marion’s. And there’s a big advantage to it, too. I’ll have another size now at 43 cm—the same size as Baby Born. Now I can dress almost all standard doll sizes.

I’ll start picking out a few things for him; I’ve got quite a bit in my stash.

Andrea, I’ll definitely take a photo of my kindergarten group. By the way, I actually used to be a daycare provider for two little girls when my son was still little. That way, I could be at home for him, and he also felt like he had little siblings. It was a really wonderful time—I enjoyed it.

So mine are called:
Sternchen, Manuel, Tommi, Rosalie, Lena, Paula, then the quadruplets: Tim and Tina, Merle and Merlin.

Wow! Oh my gosh, that’s already 10!!!
