Can anyone tell me which is better: stuffing or pre-flocked stuffing?

You can use stuffing to fill crocheted or knitted items such as dolls, animals, or decorative elements.
It’s fluffier, more elastic, and lighter than regular cotton wool.

If you want to use it to stuff amigurumi, I recommend the cheaper option: pillow stuffing.

I use regular stuffing for my amigurumi; you can get it cheaply in 1-kg packs (um, am I actually allowed to write here where I get it, or would that be considered unauthorized advertising?).

as you've probably already noticed, everyone has their own preferences.

In my experience, amigurumis stuffed with craft stuffing turn out firmer.
But if you want an especially soft amigurumi, pillow stuffing really is the better choice.

The cheaper option is clearly pillow stuffing, but craft stuffing won't exactly make you poor either, as long as you're not finishing a very large animal every other day.
