Unfortunately, more storms and rain are forecast here. So setting up our greenhouse will have to wait. That’s just fine with me, since I’m feeling a little under the weather with the flu. But I’m sure I’ll have enough energy for some sewing this weekend.

I also wish everyone here a wonderful and, hopefully, sunny weekend. Here in the south, the sun is peeking out from time to time today, and the forecast looks pretty good.

As long as we have knitting needles and yarn, we’re all set—even if it rains for a while.

Exactly—armed with wool and yarn, the weather can’t do a thing to us. But it’s supposed to get better.

Best of all, I now have a full six days off, including four vacation days. I’ve earned it too, and I’m really looking forward to not having any hustle and bustle for a change, doing whatever I want, and getting up whenever I want.
Maybe I’ll go to the afternoon dance with my parents again on Sunday, or my husband and I will go somewhere (by train or bike)

Andrea, you’ve really earned this chance to have some free time for yourself. Enjoy it! The weather is supposed to get nicer soon, just in time for Easter. I’d enjoy an afternoon dance, too. But nature has so much to offer right now—it’s such a joy to immerse yourself in it.

Inge, that’s great that you received so much fabric as a gift. I’m sure you’ll come up with some lovely ideas and show them to us. I can’t wait to see them.

I’d also like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend. The April weather isn’t really tempting us to go outside yet, but that’s okay—there are plenty of alternatives.

Have a wonderful Sunday

I used yesterday to make some space on the shelf in my sewing room so I can store all the fabrics, because that huge box is always in the way. While putting things away, I picked up a piece of plush fabric and thought, “Okay, this will become a hedgehog pillow like the ones I’ve sewn several times before; it’s just perfect for that.” I named the pattern Balduin back then; you’ll get to see it soon.
