Hardworking little helpers: What’s April up to?

How are you all doing, and how’s the April weather? What are you working on right now?

I’m still sewing for the Kindertafel—right now, stuffed animals and Kissele—because I’m waiting for a fabric package that includes some clothing fabrics again; then I’ll start sewing clothes again.

I’m still working on my doll clothes for the kindergarten, too. 

I’ve made some shoes. And now there’s a jacket lying on the sofa, but the sleeves don’t quite fit, so I might have to unravel it.

That’s so cute, Petra! Handicrafts for the food bank or the daycare—very commendable of you. A good cause that brings joy to both sides.

In April, I’m continuing to focus on sewing for beginners. I’m taking it one project at a time. Other than that, we’re setting up our new greenhouse in the garden. The old one was destroyed by the storm. The new one is sturdier. But first, it has to be put up. My husband has already leveled the ground and laid the foundation—it took him days of Sisyphean labor using countless spirit levels. Now there’s a storm and rain outside, so we can’t make any progress on that part. So we’re postponing the rest of the greenhouse construction until next week. Hopefully the weather will be better then.

Anyway, I need to recover from a cold first. So this break comes at just the right time for me.
