New felt slippers with dinosaurs

Hi everyone,
my grandchildren’s feet are growing fast, so I was asked to make two more pairs of new slippers: one for daycare and one for home. And since my grandson Oskar is totally into dinosaurs right now, that’s what he wanted. And the slippers absolutely had to be fire-engine red. Here you go—here’s the first pair in the requested design. Of course, they’re non-slip and have a pull tab at the back.

You only need 100 g of felting wool per pair in size 27, so the amount works out well for other slipper sizes, too.

Yes, Veronika, you’re absolutely right. But as a retiree, you still have those conventions—trained into you over decades—in your head about what to wear and what not to wear. As a child, you’re completely free and unburdened in your decisions.

I keep seeing older people who only wear beige anymore. And when it comes to married couples, both of them end up wearing only beige—and become increasingly inconspicuous as a result. I’m going to be a colorful retiree!

Ina, the dinosaur felt slippers turned out great. You can already tell from the size that Oskar has grown. The last pair seemed much smaller to me.

Veronika, I feel exactly the same way. I now wear whatever I like and find comfortable—no matter what’s in style right now; I don’t care about that anymore.
