Sleeve scarves—what are they for?

What are sleeve scarves used for? How do they differ from a bolero or a short jacket? It would be great if you could share your thoughts on this.

Sleeve shawls are shorter than boleros and cropped jackets. They only cover the arms and the nape of the neck, so you don’t feel quite so bare up top. A bolero or little jacket can sometimes have too much fabric and spoil the overall look of a special dress. But anything goes if you like it. Here’s an example of a sleeve shawl.
