Dear users, dear authors,
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Please remember the time change: Clocks will be set forward one hour on the night from Saturday to Sunday.
Yes, unfortunately it’s still the same, I always struggle with it for days until I get used to the new time, and the so-called energy savings were a lie from day one.
Inge, as far as I’m concerned, we don’t need this change either. Even though it stays light longer in the summer, I still have to go to bed so I’ll be well-rested the next day.....
I’m wishing everyone a wonderful weekend, too!
Since the yarn I just bought for a big blanket still hasn’t arrived, I’m going to go paint the living room. There’s always something to do.
Oh yeah, daylight saving time... Wasn’t that supposed to be abolished two years ago? Since we don’t work anymore, it doesn’t really matter. I get up when I wake up, no matter what time it is. But since it doesn’t serve any purpose at all, we should finally put an end to it.
This stupid time change—it always takes me almost two weeks to fully adjust.
That’s right, Inge—no one actually saved any energy because of it. That was obvious.
Veronika, they just can’t seem to agree on whether we should stick with daylight saving time or standard time.
Actually, time is pretty simple—we’re Central Europeans in the northern hemisphere, so we’re on CET (Central European Time). What’s there to argue about??? We grew up with it, and it’s worked well for decades.
Thanks, and have a great weekend too, despite the time change.
I don’t need this change either. An extra hour is fine, but losing an hour is really tough until your body gets used to it again.
I have the weekend off and am enjoying it. On Sunday afternoon, we’re going with my parents to an afternoon coffee and dance. I’m really looking forward to it—it’s been ages since I’ve been. It’ll be great.
I also wish all of you here a lovely and sunny spring weekend. The weather here is staying nice for now, and we’ll be enjoying it outdoors. I’m not a fan of the time change either, but oh well. Complaining won’t help. So I’m just looking forward to long, bright evenings.
Afternoon coffee and dancing? Oh, Andrea, I envy you for that. I’d love to do that again sometime, too.
