the baby booties are always photographed so beautifully; what are they filled with, and
where could I possibly get that item?
So far I’ve used tissue paper, but it’s not ideal.
Hi Stefanie,
thank you so much for your reply—
I’ve already tried that.
It’s better than nothing, but the shape never turns out exactly the same for both shoes.
I’ve been looking at lots of shops, and in the photos the foot is shaped really
nicely—especially the sole, which needs to stand firmly.
I’m sure I’ll figure it out eventually.
I use plaster shoe trees that I make myself to fill out my baby booties. I also sell them. Feel free to send me a private message, and I’ll let you know where you can buy them.
Hi,
I’ve already knitted and crocheted 20 pairs of baby booties, and they’ve always turned out great. If you want them to stand up nicely for a photo, I’d cut out a piece of cardboard for the sole that’s the same size as the bootie, stuff it with cotton, and insert a cardboard ring into the upper as well—that should make them stand up.
