Hardworking little helpers: what’s your creative project?

dear little helpers,
what are you working on today?

I’m continuing to knit my doll’s sweater today. I’ve gotten past the tricky part with the cables—just a little bit of the back left and the straps. 

I’ve just printed out two more dress patterns for summer dresses; tomorrow I’ll tape the pattern pieces together and then cut out the fabric. I’ll start sewing again only once everything I want to sew is cut out—I don’t like having to keep cutting things while I’m sewing. The cut pieces will then be laid out next to the machine in the order they’ll be sewn, but first I’ll iron interfacing onto everything that needs it. I have patterns for children’s trousers lying around, and I also quickly made myself a shirt pattern—that’s no problem for me

That cable pattern looks great 👏😊.... but also complicated 😋

Right now I don’t have much time, and my creative streak is practically nonexistent 😜...... but I still need to digitize some pictures—I’m just wondering when? When my creative streak kicks in, I guess 😂. But I’m still waiting for that....... Hopefully in the next few days.....

Creativity can’t be forced—it just comes on its own.
Unfortunately, we often don’t even notice it.
My ideas often come to me overnight, and I’m too lazy to get up and write them down.
By morning, they’re gone—at least most of them.

For times like these, I always keep a notepad and pencil on my nightstand. When an idea pops into my head, I jot it down quickly. If I don’t, my thoughts keep circling back to that idea and I can’t fall asleep. 

I’m working on a new bag pattern ;). Unfortunately, the news from Ukraine has really slowed me down over the last few days—it’s hard to be creative when you’re actually afraid and constantly preoccupied with it.

Sewing has been a good distraction for me lately. It helps :).
