Ruler Holder

I made a holder for my rulers, which I also need again and again when sewing.

Great idea! I still have two very sturdy cardboard tubes lying around here—I’ll have to think about it. Did you put a bottom on it, or is it open at the bottom?

It used to hold a bottle of peroxide (we mixed our own Desi), so it has a solid bottom.

How handy. It actually makes more sense when you’re tidying up. So I’ll look for some suitable bases....

There’s so much to store and tidy up.

If you’re not as good at sewing as Inge, there are other ways to make your workspace look nice.

I’ve also spruced up a tin can before. It works for pens, buttons, oil bottles, colored pencils, etc.

I mostly do decoupage and repurpose tin cans. 



Hidden underneath here is an empty coffee can, and the fabric and lace are glued on. 




And here—this has less to do with sewing—I cut up a pair of old lace tights.

I have a coffee mug (a gift from my godson with pictures of him on it)—unfortunately, the handle broke off—and I keep my scissors, seam rippers, pencils, etc., stored inside it.
