“Fake” post double crochet stitches

Dear users, dear authors,
What are “fake” post double crochet stitches, and what are they used for?

I’ve been crocheting since I was 10—almost 50 years now.
But I’ve never heard that term before.
To me, it looks like double crochet worked only into the back loop.
In English, I know this as BLO (back loop only).
It’s useful for highlighting something and making it look more three-dimensional.

These “fake post double crochets” are crocheted only around the top loop of the double crochet. The advantage is that the double crochets aren’t shorter than regular double crochets, so you don’t get big differences in height. They are textured, but not so “bulky.” 
The link does lead to my pattern, so I can say this—the stitch type is one I
didn’t find online, so I didn’t have a name for it and simply dubbed it “fake post double crochets.” :-) 

You’ve invented a new craft technique. :-)

In every needlework book from the ’70s and ’80s, this type of double crochet stitch is called “flat post double crochet” or, more generally, “flat post stitches” :-))

I’ve also used this type of stitch in Friedrich Fuchs’ pants and the Fuchs booties—though as flat single crochet stitches.

In English, they’re called “shallow post stitches,” if I’m not mistaken...

So the relief texture isn’t just for double crochet stitches, but for all stitches?

The name makes sense. I would never claim that I invented anything. I just couldn’t find a name. ^^

You can crochet post stitches with all stitches from single crochet upward (half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, double treble crochet, etc.).
