I love knitting children's clothing with sock yarn. It also washes well in the machine, and every piece is one of a kind when it comes to the pattern. Here are a few ideas for you.

The pullover for 4- to 5-year-olds with a collar and button placket. It has no seams and is easy to knit if you have knitting experience.

For toddlers from age 1, these knitted pants with a side cable pattern are a very useful garment. The adjustable straps keep them from slipping, and they grow with the child for a while.

In my shop, you’ll find spiral socks. Spiral socks are knitted without a heel, so they fit a range of sizes. They’re great for little ones—the socks will last quite a while—or they’re ideal as guest slippers. You can knit this pattern in sizes 14–18 up to shoe sizes 46–47.
