Scatter decorations using leftover materials for Christmas + New Year’s Eve: small and quick to finish

These Christmas stars can be crocheted from scraps and used in many ways—as scatter decorations, tree ornaments, or even as appliqués.

They’re very easy to crochet, even for beginners with basic skills.

If you have a star punch at home, you can punch out loooads of stars from pretty glitter paper and scatter them on the tablecloth. I always loved doing this with the kids. They had a lot of fun with it, and it looked great. Just go ahead and get yourself a punch like that. You can always use stars. You can even glue them onto a gift box, for example.
