Capes and ponchos are loose-fitting tops. They’re easy to knit and crochet. They come in sizes for big people and small dolls. Since Christmas is approaching and you might still need a gift for your granddaughter or niece, today I’ll simply show you only doll clothes on this theme. The cape is worn over the dress and has a closure at the front. It’s perfect for acting out “Three Wishes for Cinderella.”

Crocheted Poncho in Various Versions

I also have something on offer for crochet fans. The poncho is very easy for crochet beginners to make, too. And just a tiny bit of yarn is enough.

The Gobi poncho is knitted with 500g of DK-weight yarn, 100g of which is in a contrasting color.
It begins and ends with two-color brioche stitch, with a cable pattern in the middle as an eye-catching detail.

My Big Poncho is knitted with 300g of Big Extra Fine yarn, so it’s finished in no time.
It’s knitted from the top down, so you can customize the length.

This poncho is quick to throw on when your shoulders feel a bit chilly.
