Double crochet stitches worked together

How do you work double crochet stitches together, and what are they used for?

It’s useful for some patterns. I also do it with half double crochet. Plus a chain stitch.

Double crochet stitches worked together are found in cluster stitches and bobbles, or as edging.
You can find many videos online with explanations, as well as websites that clearly illustrate the technique using diagrams.

I’m currently using them in “Nikolaus Speedy and Hoppala.”
