Owls, Mermaids, and Unicorns: Craft Trendy Animals Now

This owl with two faces has a very special function. It clearly indicates whether the room’s occupant doesn’t want to be disturbed right now. Kids especially love it! The owl is very easy to crochet using leftover yarn. It’s also very useful for working from home, by the way.

A riding toy you can also cuddle wonderfully:
Violetta is aunicorn hobby horse that you can really ride! Since the head is crocheted from soft plush yarn and the "stick" is made from a soft pool noodle, even wild romping won’t lead to broken glass panes or injuries. And if Violetta is especially loved, she can even come to bed at night, because there are no hard or sharp edges anywhere.

Do you have a unicorn fan at home too? Then this little cloth might be just right. It can be used as a cuddle cloth or as a gentle washcloth. For older unicorn fans, you can of course also turn the motif into a dishcloth or potholder ;-)

A bit more involved to make, but a true dream for unicorn lovers, is this “Life is magic” gym bag. With a carried-along glitter thread, the gym bag sparkles beautifully in the light. The bottom of the gym bag is crocheted; everything else is knitted in double-face.

Mermaids are beautiful mythical creatures that spark our imagination and let us dream.
Stella, the little mermaid, is one such lovely creature. She loves the blue sea and all its inhabitants.

She’s a real doll with legs, and all the other clothing sets from my shop fit her perfectly.

All patterns are suitable for ambitious beginners who know the basic crochet stitches and techniques (magic ring, single crochet, half double crochet, chain stitches, slip stitches). I used a cotton yarn with a yardage of 50g/125m and a size 2.5 crochet hook for my pieces. You’ll find more information in the respective patterns.
