A fun idea for St. Nicholas Day is the
reversible doll Nikolausi-Osterhasi:

With a simple turn inside out, St. Nicholas becomes a cute Easter bunny. This way you can display the figure not only during the Christmas season, but also in
spring!
Here’s what materials you need:
- Cotton yarn (yardage approx. 125 m/ 50 g, e.g. Catania by Schachenmayr or Camilla by Woll Butt) in light brown, light green, red, soft apricot
(about 1 skein of the red yarn, less than
one skein of the other colors.
- Fluffy yarn (Doudou by Lang Yarns, yardage 155m / 50 g) leftover
- Catania fine in white (leftover)
- Crochet hook size 2.5 mm
- Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
- Thick sewing needle for weaving in ends and sewing the pieces together
- 1 sharp embroidery needle for embroidering the face
- Embroidery floss in black, red, brown
- possibly safety eyes
Do you have everything at home? Then let’s go! Grab your hook!
As a filler for an Advent calendar:
Finger puppets: snowman, Santa Claus, and moose

The three cute little fellows are crocheted very quickly from just a few scraps of leftover yarn and are sure to bring your children lots of joy. They can make up and act out funny Christmas stories with them. The time until Christmas Eve will fly by!
If you like giving sweets as gifts, package them sweetly too:

The
candy jar with St. Nicholas is made from an empty jam jar whose lid is crocheted around. The crocheted St. Nicholas is attached on top. Once the candy has been eaten, you can refill the jar and give it as a gift again, or place an LED string light inside and have a beautiful Christmas lantern.
