How’s your knitting chart coming along?

I don’t knit very often, but I have to say that I usually get along better with a knitting chart than when I have to read a written pattern. That’s usually too confusing for me.
It’s the same with crocheting.

I also prefer knitting charts when knitting from patterns. With a knitting chart, I don’t need a written explanation, either.

When crocheting, I like to have both the written instructions and the crochet chart. That way, I can always look up exactly what the symbols mean and find it easier to follow along. 

I’ve made a “cheat sheet” with the symbols and their meanings for both crocheting and knitting. It’s really handy.
