Weekend plans?

Dear users, dear authors,
what are your plans?
Have a great weekend.

Definitely chilling out, hanging out with friends, enjoying some good food, and letting my mind wander 😘

We have something planned for today that I’m especially excited about.

Today is the first meeting for the First Communion children and their parents to tour the church. My husband and I are assigned to the kitchen—making coffee and doing the dishes. Why am I so excited about this? Last year, due to the pandemic, this orientation didn’t take place, and First Communion preparation was kept to a minimum. And now, little by little, these gatherings and events are happening again—a bit of normalcy. Everything is spread out, and we’re keeping our distance, etc., but things are happening again, and I’m so happy for the children that they can experience something together as a community once more.

The rest of the weekend will be quiet for us after a busy week. We’ll go for walks and do some crocheting. 

I’m cutting out my fabric for a cozy coat and other projects, and my washing machine is running in the background—because that has to get done too :-)

We’ve planned a hike with friends in the surrounding area. We’re looking forward to it—we don’t know the area, but the views are supposed to be beautiful. In the evening, we’ll attend church together, and of course, I’ll wrap up the day with some knitting…



  

It was too hazy to do more than make out the Alpine peaks in the top picture.
A thick band of fog could be seen in front of the Jura Mountains (bottom picture). The photos were taken on a hill with the curious name “Oberbühlchnubel” (815 m), where we stopped for lunch. Next to us, a group was enjoying cheese fondue—for which they had to haul all the ingredients and equipment up the hill (it’s only accessible on foot!).
