When the evenings get cooler, cuddling with these two is so much fun!

They are pillow covers for grain pillows. The pillows are warmed up in the microwave for a few minutes (without the animal). After that, they give off pleasant warmth for quite a while. That helps with neck tension, stomach aches, or when you simply want to warm up a little, and as a stuffed animal they can pre-warm the bed.

The animal’s body is crocheted from heat-resistant cotton yarn. For the head and limbs, I chose teddy yarn. This makes the little animal nice and soft and plush.

And if you don’t want an animal but would prefer something more neutral as a pillow cover, you can also crochet a heart-shaped cover for your heat pillow:

All pillow covers are designed for grain or cherry pit pillows about 20 x 20 cm in size.

A lovely weekend project is this little lovey, which can also be used as a washcloth. A dream for all little unicorn fans! If you know a “grown-up” unicorn fan, or are one yourself, you can also knit the motif in pure cotton as a potholder. It is knitted in double-face, so both sides look beautiful.
