Mine’s going to be great, because on Sunday I’ll see my whole family again after this seemingly endless lockdown—especially my grandchildren from Baden-Württemberg, whom I haven’t seen in at least 18–20 months.

We’re having fantastic fall weather here—bright sunshine and blue skies.
Today I walked 15 km and am looking forward to tomorrow. My nephew, his wife, and their son are coming back from vacation. They live in Hamburg, but they flew in from Düsseldorf. That way, we’ll get to see little Carl again. I’m really looking forward to it.

@Inge: Not seeing your grandchildren for so long is awful. You’re going to have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy it!!!!

I’ve already walked 8 km again today, so now I can turn my attention to my crafts with a clear conscience. Out on the patio in the sun—maybe for the last time this fall?

We’re so happy we moved from cold Norway to Germany, because here at this time of year you can still sit out on the balcony in short sleeves, soaking up the sun, sipping coffee, letting your hair dry… it’s just great today.
