Making a gift for (great)grandma? :-)

Hi everyone,

My grandma (Leo’s great-grandma) will be a proud 81 next month.

I’d like to make her something for her birthday. Ideally together with Leo, who is almost 2 now.

Do you have any ideas for something that:
-Is not too difficult to make
-Will be well received
-Is ideally useful

What have you given or received as gifts before?

I’d be happy to hear some great ideas :)

(And remember—no links or other people’s pictures, please :D)

I’ve noticed that older people like to reminisce about the past (I’m 71 myself). How about a calendar or a small photo album with pictures from her life? Leo could help decorate the pages (making frames with potato stamps, creating little flowers with fingerprints, gluing in pressed flowers and leaves, etc.) 

I’d also be happy with a large picture frame with photos of my three grandchildren (ages 8, 6, and 4)
Or if the three of them make something together

My mom was very happy back then when she got to hold her first great-granddaughter in her arms.

the little one is sure to have fun with it, and Great-Grandma will love it 😍

As a grandma, I love nothing more than photos of the kids. A photo of the grandson, for example, in a painted frame—or even better, with the child’s fingerprints on it; that’s something truly unique and lasting.
