With this combined craft and crochet pattern, you can pour candles yourself and then crochet beautiful covers for them. This gives you a super beautiful, handmade, and sustainable Christmas decoration to use yourself or give as a gift.

Here’s the pattern

If you want to crochet covers for existing candle jars without pouring the candles yourself, this is the right pattern for you.

Here’s the pattern

Have fun crocheting, decorating, and giving them as gifts :)

Many children are afraid to fall asleep in the dark. The guardian angel night light watches over these children.
The angel with the sweet little face stands next to the bed and is lit by an LED lamp that can be turned on and off and dimmed with a remote control. The gentle light is comforting, but does not interfere with sound sleep.
The angel is about 20 cm tall and can be crocheted from leftover yarn.

These beautiful, easy-to-crochet tealight holders often replace elaborate decorations at Christmas.  The pattern is explained in a crochet chart, but there is also a detailed written description stitch by stitch.

And here’s another cool string of lights for Halloween. The little bats are quickly crocheted from some black leftover yarn. The bulbs of the LED string lights serve as the little fluttering creatures’ glowing eyes. Very striking!

With an LED tea light underneath, these cute angels glow magically and create a cozy atmosphere when it gets dark outside.

If you enjoy decorating with small light sources, you might like making them yourself. My store already has a small selection of tealight holders and small lamps. Today I’d like to show you three that are perfect for Advent and Christmas.

The tealight holder with the poinsettia is perfect for Advent. It measures approx. 15.5 x 4 cm, is very quick and easy to make, and is also well suited for beginners.

If you’re skilled with a craft knife and love lots of glitter, you might also like this delicate tealight holder, measuring approx. 18 x 2.5 x 18 cm.

And if you prefer more understated décor, this lovely little Christmas tree, approx. 13.5 cm tall, would surely suit your taste.

All models are made entirely or mainly from photo cardstock and are partly decorated with glitter liner; for the last one I also used translucent paper.

Especially at Christmas, we love cozy, soft lighting.
So why not crochet this pretty and funny snowman for your Christmas celebration?

Or how about this funny Santa Claus?

Or would you prefer a little angel?

Are there any more light-up decorations?

Of course.

My balcony lighting for the table also works well on the table in the living room.

Crochet pattern “Decorative Ball / Light Ball”

Not just an eye-catcher at Christmas time. Whether with LED lights or without, whether in the window, as tree decorations, or hanging freely, they are a beautiful focal point. Easy and quick to make; everything is explained step by step in detail and illustrated with pictures.

Click here to go directly to the pattern:

Materials per ball:
  • Approx. 13 g cotton yarn, yardage → 125 m/50 g (e.g., Catania)
  • Crochet hook size 2.5 or 3 (example here = size 2.5)
  • Wood glue (e.g., Ponal brand) ← my recommendation,
alternatively fabric stiffener, liquid laundry starch, or spray starch
  • 1 small balloon
  • 1 LED light (optional)
  • at least 6 beads (optional)
  • Tools for blocking/stretching (rubber mat, pins, etc.)

Here’s a lovely idea for the table: The little Advent or Christmas caterpillar is relatively quick to crochet and also not a big challenge for beginners. Fitted with small LED lights, it will delight not only children at Christmastime.

Click here and you’ll go directly to the pattern:

Material: Catania by Schachenmayr with a yardage of 125 m/50 g was used here
  • approx. 45g - 50g cotton
  • 4 LED lights
  • possibly felt scraps for the nose and eyes (but they can also be embroidered on)
  • crochet hook size 2.5

These pretty little angels , approx. 9 cm tall, can be used in many ways. You can hang them on the Christmas tree, use them standing up as decoration, or simply give them as a lucky charm. With a small LED light the little skirt lights up and creates a festive mood.

Material: Catania fine with a yardage of 165 m/50 g was used here
  • Approx. 10 g per angel
  • Crochet hook size 2
  • a little stuffing (for the head)
  • leftover yarn (silver here) for the halo
  • Beads
  • Sewing needle, scissors, spray starch, possibly toothpicks, possibly an LED light
