Happy weekend: What are you up to?

Dear users, dear authors,
how are you? What are you doing this weekend?

I'm doing as little as possible so I don't have to endure even more pain than I already am. My tailbone joint has shifted so much that I can hardly walk and barely sleep because of the pain. On Tuesday I have an appointment with the orthopedist, so don't be surprised if I hardly write anything for the next while.

As for me, the apartment is empty. The moving company is coming on Saturday to take everything away. I’m curious to see whether everything will arrive at our new home on September 21st (they do a kind of consolidated shipment, so it’s not just our moving things)

Tomorrow morning, I have a bandage change and a follow-up checkup on my finger.
Other than that, it’ll be a relaxing weekend.

I’ll keep working on using up my PiA stash as long as my arm and shoulder hold up.

I'm still in the hospital .

Nothing serious. I had a flare-up of my skin condition from the vaccination. Otherwise I'm fine.

I, too, wish everyone who’s injured or feeling under the weather a speedy recovery—and hope you’ll still find the time to do something enjoyable.

It’s supposed to rain here tomorrow, so I’ll finally get some time to work on my computer. And on Sunday, if the weather’s nice, we’re planning a trip with friends—we’re really looking forward to it.

Anton is staying with my parents from today through Sunday. Today we went out to eat with my mother-in-law (it was her birthday present), tomorrow I have to work until 8 p.m.—we’ll see if we can still go out for a bite to eat afterward. And on Sunday, we’ll pick Anton up again. 

We’re enjoying the beautiful fall weather—on Sunday, we’re going to the Schönbrunn Zoo for the first time in many years. It was my wish to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary there, and I’m really looking forward to it.

Right now, I have a plum cake in the oven. It already smells delicious.

Then I sorted through my new bottle caps. These are from my daughter’s vacation in Belgium and France. There’s a unicorn and an elephant among them. I’m thrilled. But please don’t ask me what I plan to do with my bottle caps… I don’t really have a plan yet. Right now, it’s more a case of “Little Petra wants it.”



This morning I finished crocheting my shawl and started the next one. Now I have to try to figure out what kind of yarn this is. Unfortunately, I don’t have the label anymore.

First of all, I hope everyone who’s sick gets well soon—it looks pretty bad for some of you, so I’m sending you strength to get through it all. My weekend is also very quiet; we’re visiting our daughter and grandkids today, and we were planning to go for a walk, but the weather isn’t cooperating—it’s raining. In the evening, I’ll be knitting baby socks again for the child welfare office—every newborn there gets a little package and a pair of socks from me. I’ve been doing this for almost 10 years now, and it’s still fun because I always get baby pictures as a thank-you. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, and get well soon if you’re sick.
