Are mermaids out of style? What about owls and unicorns?

Dear users, dear authors,
There was a time when mermaid blankets and anything with mermaids on them were selling like hot cakes. Is that still the case, or are mermaids out of style?

In any case, my granddaughter is still totally into mermaids. She has a tail fin for the pool, a mermaid blanket, and even her Barbies can turn into mermaids. I’ve already sewn and crocheted several tail fins for her (one for each Barbie!). And she’s still playing with them. 

And how are things going with unicorns and owls?
