Your fall decorations + Halloween decorations?

how do you decorate for fall?

As long as it was summer outside, I didn’t give autumn a second thought. But now it’s slowly making itself felt. And little by little, my mind is shifting into “autumn mode,” and in my imagination I’m already decorating my entryway, the stairwell, and here and there. This year, I’ll be placing various illuminated lanterns there, along with homemade fall wreaths and arrangements of dried flowers and blooms. I have some old baskets and stone pots in the basement that I always fill with fall decorations. They look different every year—depending on what I’m in the mood for and what “ingredients” I happen to come across. Over the past few weeks and days, I’ve been cutting hydrangea blooms to dry. They’ll definitely be part of this year’s decorations.

I’m not a fan of Halloween. You won’t see anything like that at my place.

I've switched my decor corner to fall... 

That’s really nice, bergli!
I also have a little corner in my entryway that I decorate depending on the season, but I’m still not ready to welcome fall just yet...

My daughter said, “Mom, it’s still summer!!!!”
Me: “What summer?”

I’m thinking of trying out some ideas from my craft booklet using natural materials.
The booklet is from 1940.

Bergli, that’s such a pretty little corner.

Fall is definitely here now. The fall asters are blooming in my garden, and I’ve put a bouquet on the table. The bees are visiting it constantly.



I’ve also started doing a little crafting and crocheting. While sorting through and cataloging my yarn, I came across some white cotton yarn.





Two are already finished—the mushroom is from last year



The crocheted acorns are also a few years old; I found the little hedgehogs at the flea market last week and just couldn’t walk past them.



And then, in a 5-minute project, I made this rosehip wreath with ivy
