There are many types of granny squares. They are lots of small, colorful pieces that you join together at the end to make one special whole. They are colorful and just plain fun: first while crocheting, then in the finished piece. I like them too, so I’ve brought a few ideas to life. Since I fell in love with the hexagon shape, all the designs are based on it. I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself. Children’s Blanket "African Flowers"
We crochet lots of hexagons and half hexagons—all beautifully colorful in our favorite colors. These are then crocheted together in rows. Then add a decorative border all around, and an individual, colorful children’s blanket is finished.

Heart Pillow
We crochet lots of hexagons, half hexagons, and quarter hexagons. These are all crocheted together according to a specific layout. The back is solid-colored. The pillow is stuffed with synthetic stuffing so that it keeps its heart shape securely and is also fully machine washable.

Santa Boot
We crochet lots of hexagons in our favorite colors. These are then crocheted together into a boot according to a specific layout. Then crochet a boot cuff, a hanger, and a small bow as decoration. And your individual Santa boot is ready to fill and give as a gift, or just to use as decoration for yourself.

Pillow Cover "African Flowers"
We crochet lots of hexagons, which we then join to make a pillow cover. The pillow cover has a closure, so it can be removed and washed.
