Counting stitches: How many are you doing today?

who wants to count stitches today?

I have to rip some stitches out today.

I only count stitches when it’s absolutely necessary. Right now I’m knitting my second house sock—there are 48 stitches on the set of double-pointed needles—so I won’t have to count again until I get to the heel cap :-) At the moment, I’m working the cuff in 1 knit, 1 purl, and then I need to knit a short sock leg.

Who had the most stitches this week?

No idea, because with this project one stitch is added on every row, and I’m not counting them :-)
It’s going to be a large shoulder shawl for my godmother’s 85th birthday. I still have 5 weeks to finish it, so it should be doable :-)
