I used to enjoy crocheting small pennants or granny squares on the train. Dishcloths are also quite small for a handbag. 



Crochet pattern for a pennant garland - As decoration for a summer party in the garden, to welcome the seasons, or with a name for a baby. 



For this balloon cover, individual granny squares are crocheted and then sewn together. A lovely idea for using up leftover yarn. 



Dishcloths are something you can never have too many of. These cloths can also be used well as potholders and trivets when made with a thick cotton yarn.
