We are crocheting this wonderful blanket called "Dreamland" together.

The CAL has only just started (on 07/17/2021), and you can join in at any time.

It consists of 8 parts, all of which will of course remain saved in the download area and can be downloaded at any time, even after the CAL has ended.

There are 2 versions  of the blanket → a slightly rectangular version and a square version. It is worked completely in rounds, so there’s no annoying turning, making it perfect for gradient yarns. There is also the option to make the blanket larger.

In addition, there is a support group on Facebook, where everything revolves around the CAL and questions will of course be answered without limit. You can find all important info about the group, process, and dates in the info file, which you can download with Part 1 right after purchase.

The pattern includes:
  • For each part, a detailed written pattern with additional pictures + the corresponding crochet chart
  • an additional file with only crochet charts and stitch count checks
  • a file with written and illustrated explanations of the stitch types needed for each part

Click here and you’ll go directly to the Dreamland CAL:

Material details: (4-ply gradient yarn was used here in the example)

- Yardage for the rectangular version = approx. 5000 m (as shown, without enlargement)

- Yardage for the square version = approx. 4650 m (as shown in brown, without enlargement)
  • Crochet hook suitable for the yarn (example here = 3.5)
  • I also recommend 4 stitch markers to mark each corner
  • You can find further yardage information for each part in the info file
The measurements with the specified hook and yarn weight:

- Rectangular version = approx. 1.80 m x 1.60 m

- Square version = approx. 1.60 m x 1.60 m

We are a fun bunch, and I’m looking forward to every participant

Best wishes - Claudia

I’m really excited about the blanket CAL
The pattern is explained really well and beautifully illustrated
Even though I prefer to crochet from written instructions, even I can understand the crochet charts.
The great thing is that the stitch counts are highlighted in color and the pattern repeats are printed in bold. It’s so much fun
Especially seeing all the wonderful blankets in the Facebook group.

Ms. Claudia Jahn is also available for any questions

Simply fantastic, I have several of her patterns and am very satisfied

Best regards

I was allowed to test-crochet this blanket. You didn’t know what it would look like, and only after finishing one part did you receive the pattern for the next one. It was really fun to get closer to the goal bit by bit. The pattern was—and still is—simply fantastic. And even if
things don’t go exactly as you’d hoped, you’ll get help and advice in the Facebook group. The designer, Claudia Jahn, never leaves anyone in the lurch… All I can say is, “Just give it a try… It’s fun and definitely leads to a great result. No matter which KAL Ms. Jahn offers… It’s always top-notch
.”

The Blanket CAL is a dream and truly lives up to its name.
All of Claudia Jahn’s patterns are clearly created with passion. I have many of her patterns and am always thrilled by them.
This CAL really tops it all off.

The group is great.

I gave in to the hype and bought the blanket, even though I’d just finished one and swore I wouldn’t crochet another one for the next 10 years.
I generally love Claudia Jahn’s patterns. They’re explained very clearly, and she’s always available to answer questions. In short, the blanket works up beautifully. 😊 It’s easy to make, fun, and very enjoyable. Thanks

I was immediately taken with the blanket, and it’s anything but boring. The pattern is written so well that even as a beginner, I’m able to follow along easily. If I have any questions, the lovely Claudia is always quick to respond.

This blanket is simply a dream. I’m already incredibly excited to see the finished result. This isn’t the first CAL by Wollholic Claudia that I’ve joined. And it certainly won’t be the last. Her patterns are always super detailed, and the crochet charts couldn’t be better. 5 stars and more 💥💥💥💥💥 Claudia Hofmann

The Traumland CAL is a ton of fun—but WARNING—IT’S ADDICTIVE! I’m working on both versions and haven’t had any problems so far, whether with the instructions or the time required. I’d gladly do it again and again!

A great CAL. I’m thrilled to be a part of it.
The pattern is very clearly organized, each step is explained very well, and there’s even a crochet chart included.
I also love that you can always check for yourself using the pattern to make sure the number of stitches you should have after each round is correct.
In short, great pattern.

I like the patterns, too—almost all of them are suitable for beginners.

And if something isn’t immediately clear, you can quickly get help in the Facebook group.

Even though I already have soooo many blankets and swore to myself… enough is enough.
Then this blanket came along, I saw it and thought, “oh, how lovely,” and I was hooked.
The pattern is well written, both in text form and as a crochet chart.
Even though I haven’t started yet, the yarn cakes are ready, and at the end of September I’m going on vacation to Denmark for a week, and that’s when I’ll get started.
Dear Claudia, you’ve done it again.
Thank you for another great pattern

Best wishes from Bockhorn
Claudia

The patterns are incredibly well thought out and go together beautifully. The patterns, as always, are very detailed, with pictures for each step, very thorough written explanations, and clear crochet charts. Special stitches are explained separately, step by step. And if you’re really stuck, the designer’s Facebook group is happy to help. That’s what makes crocheting fun 😊

This is the first blanket CAL I’ve joined, and it’s so much fun! Everything is explained really well. I love the timing of the CAL—you have plenty of time before the next part, which is great if you can’t stay on it constantly 👍🏻😉☺️ If you have any questions, you can also get help in the Facebook group 👍🏻 Best regards, Simone Si

I didn’t join this CAL until later. At first, I didn’t want to, since I’m also participating in the blanket CAL by Morben Design. But then I thought, why not? It looks great, and I need two blankets anyway. It’s worth it!

Basically, I think a CAL like this is really great, especially for large projects. You get the pattern for 5,000 meters or more broken down into sections. That gives me more motivation to stick with it, because the rounds really do become a challenge. Every now and then, I get the feeling that I’m “done.” It has a certain something ;-) I love CALs!

I love the CAL
The individual parts are easy to get your head around, and (so far) there’s still time for side projects. The anticipation for the new parts is huge, and the pattern is really, really great!

The CAL is amazing. The blanket is amazing. All of Claudia’s patterns are incredibly great. There’s hardly a pattern of hers that I don’t own 😅 Every single one is created with so much passion ❤️ Please, please keep it up and stay just the way you are ❤️

A very beautiful and harmonious CAL.
People are willing to help without any ifs or buts.
The pattern is written in a way that’s easy to understand—just like all of Claudia’s patterns, actually.

I’ve started two blankets myself :-)

Wow,
my dear fellow craft addicts, I’m truly touched....thank you all so much ♥
I’m so happy that the CAL is going over so well with you all and that everything is running so smoothly in the group.

I’m looking forward to more CALs and sharing ideas with you.
Best regards, Claudia

I’ve already worked on several of Claudia’s patterns and am always thrilled with them.
They’re well-structured, clearly explained, and—especially for new or unfamiliar patterns—illustrated with great care.
This makes them perfect for beginners, too, if you love challenges and, above all, relief stitches. 😁😊
Highly recommended.
It’s also so nice to see the different color combinations come together in the group.
Here’s to many more beautiful patterns.
Best regards from Anita

I’m thrilled with the pattern. The design is very varied, and I keep discovering new things, and with every section I think, “Oh, that looks great!” The pattern is clearly written. Whether following the crochet chart (which I like best) or the written pattern (where I can double-check whether I’ve understood it correctly). Of course, it’s even more fun together with the other addicts in the Facebook group. Which is, after all, the whole point of a CAL.
Thank you so much, dear Claudia
Best regards

I love Claudia’s patterns. This is only my second CAL, but I’ve already crocheted other patterns of hers. I’m no expert at crocheting, but Claudia always writes clear and easy-to-follow patterns. Keep up the great work.

What I forgot to mention in all the rush: the blanket is a dream 😍😍😍

I have to say something here. Actually, I prefer knitting, and crocheting on this scale, like the Traumland blanket, hasn’t really been my thing so far. I joined the CAL out of curiosity and thought that if anything went wrong, there were so many experts on hand, especially the lovely Claudia, that I simply dared to try it. I’ve never enjoyed a craft project as much as this one. It is so well explained and clearly laid out that I haven’t had any questions so far. If any mistakes happened, it was my own fault. The patterns are simply top-notch, with checklists to make sure the stitch count is exactly right and everything is perfect for the next part. The individual patterns are easy to memorize and work up smoothly.
The timeframe is also very well planned, so you don’t have to rush to finish on time.
And one more thing: I didn’t like post double crochet at all, but here I’ve learned to love it. I finally see a real use for these double crochets, and I’ve already thought about crocheting those crossed post double crochets as a finishing edge on a simple shawl. I really like them now. With that in mind, a huge thank you to Claudia, and I hope for many more beautiful ideas and patterns like these. I’ve already started the Traumland shawl.

Thank you so much for this detailed review. I’m over the moon that you, as a knitter, decided to give it a try, and I hope I can inspire you with more patterns in the future ;-)

Best regards, Claudia

How are the CALs, KALs, etc. going?

I did it again—somehow I love big projects :-)

This time we’re all crocheting the “Fantastic” blanket together.
It will once again be worked completely in rounds, making the pattern perfect for all gradient yarns. The last part can again be extended as much as you like if the blanket isn’t big enough for you yet. My sample with 4-ply yarn and hook size 3.5 is 1.90 m x 1.90 m.

Joining later is possible at any time,
all parts remain saved in the download area and can be downloaded again at any time. In the specified CAL group, of course, you’ll always get unlimited help.
The blanket is more suitable for advanced crocheters, but ambitious beginners with patience and perseverance will also enjoy it.

You’ll find all further information in the info file, which can be downloaded immediately after purchase.

Click here to go directly to the pattern:

Materials:
Please keep in mind that everyone crochets differently; especially with such a large project, yarn consumption can vary enormously depending on hook size and yarn weight. In the info file you’ll find the usage for each part, for different hook sizes and yarn weights, and of course the respective total usage.
  • Usage in this sample = approx. 6300 m / 4-ply gradient yarn (as shown)
  • Crochet hook suitable for the yarn (sample here = hook size 3.5)
  • I also recommend 4–8 stitch markers
A table with yarn consumption for different hook sizes (3, 3.5, 3.75, 4, and 5) is included in the info file.
