Lace patterns: that means lots of holes with a bit of yarn in between. When the color and pattern are right, something truly lovely comes out of it. The holes offer glimpses of bare skin and make the garment airy and light. And the yarn in between means it still keeps you warm. Here are my suggestions for you.
I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm regards from Ina
Lace Shawl for Beginners
It is knitted from a gradient yarn, so the gentle color transitions happen all by themselves. The pattern is also suitable for lace beginners, since it consists of just two pattern rows that repeat over and over. At the end, it is blocked so that the wave pattern unfolds in all its glory. You can wear the shawl open or tied.
Ball Gown for Small Dolls
For this dress, I knitted the skirt section in the same wave pattern as the Lace Shawl for Beginners above. If you use different colors, the pattern stands out especially well. Leftover yarn is enough, and the doll mom will enjoy the little dresses.
Ball Gown with Tulle Petticoat
Here is another model for the crochet fans. Of course, you can crochet openwork and lace patterns too. It is simply yarn with lots of airy stitches around it. The special thing about this doll dress is the lace pattern of the wide skirt. There is a crochet chart in the pattern. The fullness of the dress comes from a tulle petticoat sewn under the skirt. This dress is the doll moms’ favorite dress.
