Why are ponchos so popular?

Do you like ponchos? Can you explain why ponchos are so popular?

I like ponchos because they aren’t restrictive, are quick to throw on, and really flatter your figure. Everything swings casually, and you move with more flair when wearing one. Plus, they’re easy to knit or crochet. A classic, in my opinion.

simply practical and cozily warm, but I retired mine because it had been hanging in the closet for several winters now and I hadn’t worn it anymore. I sewed the little poncho years ago for my granddaughter and the red one for her mom, my daughter
