which craft technique do you like best right now?

Hi everyone,

my favorite crafting technique right now is hairpin lace crochet. You can create such beautiful lace pieces with it—perfect for summer. The best part, though, is that the shawls or whatever you’re making are finished very quickly because you’re crocheting around a lot of “air.” Plus, it’s very economical in terms of yarn usage. This has two advantages: First, the pieces turn out really airy, which is very comfortable for summer; second, it saves money because you use very little yarn. And I can’t forget to mention the most important part: Once you get the hang of it, this technique is a breeze and a ton of fun.
It’s a shame that this old handicraft technique isn’t more widespread, though that does have the advantage of letting you create one-of-a-kind pieces that no one else has. 
There is one downside, though: hairpin lace crochet is so much fun that it’s easy to forget about your other responsibilities.
