I most enjoy knitting or crocheting. But sometimes I also feel like doing a little crafting. There isn’t always a pattern for that, because many things come about spontaneously—but I have written down a few for you anyway. I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm regards from Ina
Make Your Own Buttons
For this you need good silicone molds and suitable materials to fill the molds. The molded blanks are baked/cured in the oven and then varnished and decorated. You’ll find out how it all works in the pattern. I use my buttons for clothing and crafting. In the second picture you can see that I also make game pieces from them, for example, for self-crocheted “board games.” You can also make the buttons in shades if you need them that way.
Princess Bed
This is a wonderful project for anyone who knows a little about woodworking. Maybe there is a dad or grandpa who would like to build a doll bed himself for his daughter or granddaughter. Here you’ll find the complete building plan with all the trimmings. The pattern also includes sewing instructions for the bedding and the crochet pattern for the pillows. The project is a lot of fun—for everyone who helps with it—and for the doll mommies.
For this bed you need a saw that can cut curves.
Simple Doll Bed
If you don’t have a saw that can cut curves, you can still build beautiful doll beds—very simple ones. They consist only of wooden rectangles that are glued together. Of course, the bedding, pillows, rug, etc. are also included in the pattern here. A lovely project that you might be able to work on together with your daughter :-)
Leather Soles for Felted Shoes
Anyone who makes felted shoes themselves always has the problem that they wear through after a while. I always sew leather soles under my felties. You can buy them for a lot of money, but you can also make them yourself from an old leather jacket. And then as many as you like. With leather soles, felted shoes last 4 times longer than without. The pattern includes a size template.
Free Pattern for an Advent Wreath Made of Pom-Poms
Yes, you’re reading that right. It’s still 6 months away. But who says you can’t make a beautiful Advent wreath already? You can craft this one with the whole family. It is made from pom-poms that are attached to a Styrofoam half-ring. Then just decorate it and you’re done with a very original wreath that doesn’t shed needles. You could also use it as a door wreath.
