I’m bumping this up again.

I’m no longer worrying about when my husband will get vaccinated—I just got the news today that it’s his turn on Friday. Thank goodness, I’ll just say—it’s about time, because he’s been waiting a good six months now since he registered at the Bavarian vaccination center. They don’t administer the shots there, though—our family doctor does, just like with me. Now it’ll be much easier to see my family again, because as of today, I’m fully protected :-)

Vaccinations have been on my mind for a long time. I’m in the second priority group because of an illness and the treatment for it; there is a 6-week interval from infusion to infusion. In the last two weeks, I’m allowed to get vaccinated.

Even if doctors and company physicians are supposed to help with vaccinations, if there isn’t enough vaccine, then...


What’s also on my mind are thoughts of my grandchildren and my daughter.
The surgery for one of my grandchildren in Switzerland. Whether the EU will throw a wrench in the works.

How things will continue with work

Oh dear... Unfortunately, it’s the current coronavirus situation...

My sister has caught it after all—just as her quarantine was about to end, her test came back positive... So now she’s stuck at home for another two weeks with a 9-month-old baby...
On top of that, she’s still not allowed to visit my mom and our seriously ill stepdad. (Thank goodness she took another test on her own, even though she “would’ve been free to go!” When I think that she might have just gone out like that...)

I’m really glad that in a few weeks, everyone in our family will either have recovered or be fully vaccinated. Then we can finally get together again without any fear! 

The current vaccination situation is definitely the number one topic.
We keep asking ourselves: How long do I have to wait? When will it finally be my turn to get vaccinated? Will we be allowed to travel afterward or not? Will we be able to hug our families again after almost two years?
But there’s a small ray of hope—we’ve finally gotten our first vaccination appointment for June 10, 2021.
I hope we’ll be allowed to travel after the second shot. That’s my biggest wish.
