Happy with May 2021?

How was your May? Are you doing well? What are you up to?

Hi Josefa,

May was good to us.

• My husband is on the mend after his stroke and has received his second vaccination
• I was happy to get my first jab
• Business is going well
• The garden got a really good watering in May
• The sun is shining again today
• Our great-nephew finally visited us. He is already 6 months old
  
• ... and TA-DA: as of today, I’m retired

Those are all really great events.

• My husband and I haven’t caught the virus yet. We haven’t been able to see our grandchildren since winter.

• There’s no vaccine in sight. The vaccination centers in Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg have none available. We’re on a very long waiting list at our family doctor’s office. We’ve signed up for two lists online. I’m wondering if the company doctor will vaccinate me.

• My problem is that I get an infusion every 6 weeks (which suppresses my immune system), and I’m not allowed to get vaccinated for 4 weeks afterward.

• Sales here have been going well.

Petra, I’m so glad your husband is on the mend. That’s wonderful.

  Everything’s going well here, too. The kids and I were lucky enough to get a vaccination appointment. That makes me feel better. Our grandson was allowed to go to school for two days before Pentecost—I’m incredibly happy about that, too.

I’m really enjoying the garden right now and spending a lot of time out there. I’m also knitting and crocheting, and coming up with new ideas.
