For knitting sweaters
My ex-mother-in-law used to knit doilies in various sizes.

I like working with circular knitting needles.

Circular needles are handy because you can use them not only for knitting in the round but also for knitting back and forth. Especially with large projects, the weight isn’t all on one needle—it’s distributed evenly. Circular needles are also ideal for knitting on the go.
Except when using a set of double-pointed needles, I only work with circular needles.
