Embroidery Files

I was just looking for embroidery files and noticed that there’s hardly anything available yet.
There isn’t even a category for them.
It would be great if there were more in the future—maybe everyone could help spread the word a little.... ;-o

I guess it’ll go the same way as the crafts section—only when there’s high demand will it be promoted. Sounds weird, but unfortunately that’s how it is...

Nici, I did understand you correctly, but as Kirsten also confirmed, the two always go hand in hand.

So it’s nice that embroidery is finally a topic here. Since I do a lot of embroidery myself, I’ve already been thinking about creating some embroidery files. I took a look here too and saw that there’s very little available.
It’s no surprise it isn’t being promoted—there just isn’t enough. Potential customers only have a small selection. I wouldn’t promote it either.
Since posting here is free, every designer who has embroidery files should offer them here.
That’s the only way this area can grow and then be promoted.
So I’m going to sit down this weekend and lead by example ;-)

Maybe we could use this thread to find out what kinds of embroidery files or templates people are interested in.
After all, there’s such a wide variety of motifs.

Exactly, that’s how I see it too. So far, the selection here is still too small to advertise it.
Maybe I’ll contact a few people after all and ask whether they’d like to sell here—there are no listing fees, after all....
It would be nice if you could list your other files too, Kirsten; maybe there’s something among them I’d like.

So I’m looking for the following embroidery files:

* at the moment I only have a 10 x 10 hoop, so files suitable for that
* preferably ITH embroidery files that I can use to make complete little pouches, keychains, egg cozies, etc.
* children’s designs that can also be used well as appliqués
* designs related to knitting and crocheting, possibly with sayings (I sew little knitting pouches, and they’d look great on them)
