I sewed a coffee bag today. I asked my daughter for some empty coffee bags, since the coffee we drink doesn't come in those bags.

Yeah, I still had some of that cotton fabric lying around, so I used it for the lining.

Great idea! Did you back the bags with anything while sewing, fabric or something like that?

No, I sewed the bag first. To make sure nothing slips out of place, I tape the pieces together with tape and then sew them together with a zigzag stitch. The lining is then sewn in place.

It really depends on how much use it gets; they usually hold up well for about a year

It would probably also be great as a gift wrapping. Or for storing something. I always think it’s a shame when you make something yourself and it breaks pretty quickly. But as a gift… I like that idea.
