yes, I really like this picot edge. It’s a very pretty finish, especially for small, delicate crochet projects.
I also like to crochet this edge on my amigurumi dresses—it just looks prettier.

This picot consists of 3 chain stitches, and you work a single crochet into the 3rd chain stitch.

Andrea described it well: a small, delicate edge that works as a finishing touch for many crochet projects. Here’s an example picture from me. The white stitches all around are the picot stitches.

This picot edge is also used in knitting, and I think it’s really pretty. It works very well as a finishing edge for socks and cuffs on dresses, sweaters, or even pants.

Monika, I had to Google how to knit picot stitches first. It’s actually pretty interesting.
It’s like a row of holes that you just fold over and knit together. Or how do you do it?
Learned something new again. I haven’t tried it yet, though. The things you learn :-)

Yes, Andrea, that’s exactly how I knit the picot edge, too. It looks very pretty, and it’s also easy to thread an elastic band through it—for example, on pants.
