Puff sleeves are back in style

Dear users, dear designers,
who among you likes puff sleeves? Would you wear them?

For those who love traditional folk fashion, puff sleeves have never gone out of style, because they’re very often a part of traditional outfits or dirndls.
I’m not talking about the so-called “pseudo-traditional outfits” and dirndls worn at various folk festivals—in my opinion, those aren’t traditional outfits at all, because these aberrations have absolutely nothing to do with traditional attire or good traditional fashion.

I ordered two beautiful blouses online because I liked the colors and the flowing fabric—and because you have to treat yourself every once in a while. And these two blouses had puff sleeves, though not right at the top of the shoulders, where I think they belong, but about 2 cm further away from the shoulder seam. It wasn’t a cutting error; that’s just how they were designed. But I just couldn’t get used to it. It’s a shame, because the blouses would have looked really good without the puff sleeves. And I can’t alter them, of course.

If there’s enough fabric in the puffed part, you can fix it like this: Take the excess fabric and sew a pleat into it so it looks like it’s supposed to be that way—and just like that, the *silly* puff sleeve is gone
