Cooking and Baking for Easter

Dear users, dear authors,
what are you cooking and baking for Easter?

Since this year’s Easter will, 99.9%, be just as lousy as last Christmas, I’m not worrying about what there’ll be to eat. We’ll just make whatever my husband and I feel like, and otherwise we’ll spend the days sitting quietly at home, just like we did during the last holidays. Because I have severe mobility issues — I can only walk where I can push my walker safely without tripping hazards — and those places are usually crowded, along with the super-spreaders. Because as long as people don’t wise up and stay home, and vaccinations keep moving ahead in sleep mode, the infection rates here won’t go down either. Because, unfortunately, people are keeping less and less distance from each other — you only have to look at the pictures on TV of people huddling together and then rubbing their eyes afterward because the numbers aren’t going down.

We’re cooking whatever’s in the fridge.
I’d like to bake a carrot cake.

We’re putting together a package for the grandkids and sending it to them. Of course, we’re including a birthday present in there.
Since one of the girls is sick, we can’t go visit. COVID-19 is dangerous for her.
