how do you sharpen/grind your scissors + knives?

Hey Josefa,
yeah, good question.
My ex-father-in-law (who, sadly, is no longer with us) was a scissors grinder. That’s why everything is still “sharp”—knives and scissors alike.

....I still have an old wooden knife sharpener I got at a flea market...it works really well...Scissors are more of a problem, though....knife sharpeners don't come around anymore...they used to ring the doorbell all the time...do you guys remember that?

My husband sharpens my scissors and knives when they need it. The shop that used to do this for us unfortunately closed for good two years ago, but thankfully my husband is very good at it too.
