Stuffing and Stabilizing Amigurumi

How do you stuff and stabilize your amigurumi / animals?

Thanks to a tip from a seller, I ended up using pillow stuffing. It’s inexpensive and works well.
If the items need to be washable, I like to stuff them with old, discarded pantyhose.
When it comes to stabilizing them, it depends on whether they’re meant for playing with or just used as decoration. Cardboard, wire, pipe cleaners, skewers—I use all of these.

At garden supply stores, you can find wire covered in green foam—it’s great for keeping moving parts stable. And the wire ends can be easily hidden in the foam, so there are no sharp ends sticking out....
